Welcome to Rowantide Kennels!
We are a small kennel, breeding Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers in Bobcaygeon, Ontario. I have been actively involved with dogs all my life, and acquired my first Toller in 1999, intending to do obedience with her. After deciding to venture into breeding, I felt it was important to prove her ability to do what the breed was for - retrieving in the field. This opened up a whole new interest for me, and has pretty much taken over my life!
My goal is to preserve the versatility of this breed, by producing sound, healthy Tollers that are able to fulfill the breed's purpose, while also fitting into a family lifestyle, or strutting their stuff in a showring. Thus my priority for placing puppies is working homes (eg. hunting, field tests, competitive obedience or agility). Puppies are occasionally available to active pet homes. I provide lifetime support for any Rowantide "kids".
